Gold Medals in the 2018 Virginia Governor’s Cup Competition

Main St Station

The 2018 Governor’s Gala awards ceremony was held at Main Street Station in Richmond, VA.

Congratulations to our vineyard and winemaking teams on our recent awards in the 2018 Virginia Governor’s Cup Competition! Our Left Bank 2014 and Virginia Gold 2014 both received Gold medals in this prestigious competition.

We were on hand to pour our Left Bank at the Governor’s Gala, which took place at Richmond’s Main Street Station in February. We congratulate all of the other winning wines and wineries!

Our 2014 Left Bank is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based red blend, which was inspired by the wines made on the left bank of the Gironde in Bordeaux, France. Our Virginia Gold is one of our flagship reds and is only made in the finest vintage years. Our 2014 Virginia Gold is a blend of Petit Verdot, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.

The Governor’s Cup Competition has become one of the most stringent and thorough competitions in the country under the leadership of Master of Wine Jay Youmans, owner of DC’s Capital Wine School. To learn more about the Virginia Governor’s Cup Competition, please visit the website.
