Winter Barrel Tasting 2020
January 18, 2020 @ 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Step into a winter wonderland of wine and experience the intense flavors of our barrel-aged reds and whites! You won’t want to miss this chance to sample some of our future vintages in the cellar with our production team.
For our musical entertainment, we are pleased to welcome back Brad Pugh from the Washington, DC-based band, Practically Einstein. Brad will be playing a mix of covers and originals.
Light fare will be available for sale at the event from Denson’s Market. The menu will include Chili & Cornbread, as well as Fried Oysters, Cheese Plates and Mini Eclairs.
Guests may also bring their own picnic lunch. (Due to ABC licensing, no outside alcohol is allowed.)
Admission includes the barrel tasting, a regular wine tasting, Ingleside wine glass & live music. Food will be available for sale at the event.
Please Note: This event has sold out for the last several years. Due to limited indoor space, advance tickets are highly recommended for this event. Advance ticket sales will end Friday, Jan. 17 at 4pm.
Advance ticket sales for this event have now ended. Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-serve basis at the event. Day of event tickets are $25/person ($20 for Estate Club members). Designated driver and under 21 tickets are $10/person.
Q: What makes our barrel tastings unique?
A: Our barrel tastings take place only once or twice a year. During this time, we allow guests to sample wines from the barrel with our production team. It’s a great way to learn more about the barrel aging process and how barrels impart flavor. Tickets also include a regular wine tasting, a souvenir glass and live music.
Q: Will this event be held indoors or outdoors?
A: This winter event will take place throughout several indoor sections of our facility. The barrel tastings will take place inside our wine cellar. Regular wine tastings will take place in our Barrel Room. Live music will be held in our indoor Pavilion, which will be reserved for event ticket holders only.
Q: I am an Estate Club member. How can I take advantage of my club discounts?
A: Club members may purchase two discounted tickets for this event. Your club discount is available in our Online Store by signing in with the email connected to your wine club. You may also call us to reserve by phone at 804.224.8687. Club members will also receive their normal club discounts on any wine purchases at the event.
Q: I will be a designated driver. Are special tickets available?
A: Yes, we offer designated driver/under 21 tickets for $10 per person. Designated driver tickets do not include the wine tastings or souvenir glass.
Q: I have purchased advance tickets. Where do I pick them up?
A: Come to the check-in area when you arrive. Your name will be part of the reservations list.
Q: Is smoking allowed on your premises?
A: Smoking is not permitted in our indoor areas and our courtyard is now a smoke-free area. We offer a convenient outdoor smoking area near our Pavilion (please follow signs or ask a member of our staff for details).
Q: Is lodging available in the area?
A: Ingleside offers overnight stays in two delightful guest cottages, The Pointe and Summerton, with advance reservation and a two night minimum. Additional options from our tourism partners can be found here.
Q: I have never been to your winery before. Where are you located?
A: We are conveniently located 2 1/4 miles south of State Rt. 3 in Westmoreland County, VA. However, please be aware that GPS is not always accurate in our area. Be sure to use our easy to follow Directions page.
