A special evening for Club members only!

We’ll be staying open late just for our club members during this special evening event. Members will be able to enjoy the beauty of our courtyard at night under the lights.

Our After Hours on August 4th will feature music by Mark Calhoun, founding member of The Windbags. Calhoon has been playing guitar around the mid-Atlantic since the late 1970’s. Having toured with Virginia Tech’s “New Virginians”, and playing for over three decades with Virginia’s premier eight-piece rock and soul band, “The Remnants Rock-n-Soul,” Mark has played a wide variety of music which includes having even played guitar for several local little theater productions over the last few years. In addition to all of this, Mark formed “The Windbags” in 2016, a Virginia-based acoustic quartet known for their stellar vocal harmonies.

In April of 2021, Mark added “solo artist” to his resume so he could play in those smaller, more intimate settings that could not accommodate the bigger groups he had been accustomed to playing with. As a result, he has worked up an extensive and eclectic list of songs – based on audience feedback – that fits the atmosphere and crowds who come out to the smaller venues for a good evening’s worth of food, drink and music.

Food will be available for sale from Lala’s Kitchen. Lala’s Kitchen is a family-owned food truck from King George, VA and features Puerto Rican-inspired tacos and empanadas.

Advance reservations are required for this event. Tables may be reserved for groups of 6 or more. Other seating will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Members are requested to reserve by Wed., August 2nd so that we may staff properly for the event. Members will receive a link to online reservations in their club email or give us a call to register at (804) 224-8687.

Our courtyard is a smoke-free area. A convenient smoking section is available near the Pavilion (look for signs or ask a member of our staff for directions).
